	It looked easy enough.
	One foot. Then the other.
	Step. Over the threshold
	to the other side.
	The door looked open,
	even welcoming
	under its arched frame.
	Start. One step. Two.
	Why count? Go. I did.
	Ran in fact.
	But didn't reach the other
	side in the same shape
	I began. The glass door
	dividing here from there
	neatly as I walked
	through my impatience
	bounced me back.
	I got up, shook off
	the shock pretending
	accidents are planned.
